Deep End Dining Presents: ATTACK! of the Peanut Butter & Jellyfish Sandwiches.

pb & jellyfish on Vimeo

If you read my recent post about my patented snack the Peanut Butter & Jellyfish sandwich (US Patent #OU812), then you may be thinking to yourself, "I don't know. Eddie says PB&Jf is delicious but I'm not sure I trust his ass. After all, the guy eats dismembered tentacles that still think they're attached to the mothership. Nah. I'm really gonna need a second, third, even a fourth opinion before I eat PB&Jf."

Fair enough.

You asked for it. You got it. Find out what others thought of PB&Jf after I forcibly fed it to them. The cast of characters include my wife, a slew of major Los Angeles food bloggers and a few jellyfish.

Watch the video to see their sincere reactions! And find out if anyone barfs...

OK, I'm now trying to figure out who's who in that video. I've met Oishii Eats and Dylan (EDBM) before, but I'm guessin' that BoLA and Daily Gluttony are there too. And I think that's Colleen Cuisine and possibly Rameniac...

I'm 87% sure I've encountered peanut butter & jellyfish in some kind of kid's media - a song? a sponge-bob episode? punchline to a joke??? - but kudos to you for actually pulling it off! It's not too wacko when you think of it - almost like jellyfish satay...

p.s. are those duplos or the megablox equivalent, near your wife's feet in the first half? :^)

In a sort of weird way, this sandwhich makes sense. It is common to see peanut sauce used in seafood and red meat dishes, so why not PB&Jf? What kind of bread did you say it was on?
sitting here in the light of day, pb&jellyfish seems easy...But faced with the beast I cowered...I failed you Edwardo...

but just for frame of reference into my food psyche - I think peanut butter & banana is out there...

Gordon, that's it! Freddie Fish. I'm glad to know my memory is a teeny bit reliable in these matters. :^) [P.S. Freddie is a girl fish, which I didn't realize until after assisting with many many rounds of Freddie Fish games...]
