Bill & Andrew. Reunited & it feelz Bizarre!!

(How many times can I use the word "bizarre" in one post. Just read and find out.)

And you thought seeing Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods Andrew Zimmern and Street Gourmet LA's Bill Esparza together on Top Chef Master's last month was bizarre enough. Well, I got news for you, they are back together again!

Like legendary dynamic duos of yore, Shields & Yarnell, Hall & Oats, Mary-Kate & Ashley, there is nothing quite like these two culinary crazies.

If you couldn't get enough of Bill Esparza's verbal beat down of Top Chef Masters cheftestant Jonathan Waxman's "scary surf n' turf" messed up, mashed up offering with his brutal observation that Waxman's plate looked "like a teenager was let loose on the buffet line" (Ouch!!!), then you must join us for more potential Esparza gems at Bizarre Bill's Bizarre Foods Viewing Party at Guelaguetza on Monday evening, June 14, 2010 at 6PM till 9PM (with the show starting at 7PM).

As a special bonus for those in attendance, Andrew Zimmern, the Bizarre Foods dude himself, will be introducing the show just for our crowd via satellite. Pretty cool, huh?

On top of that, the fabulous Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza y Pal Cabron promises that the show will be presented on 150 inches of high definition glory. Size DOES matter, Bricia tells me. 150 inches!!! I didn't even think they made 'em that big. Mine's only―uh, nevermind.

For better or worse, you'll be seeing Esparza's mug much larger than life. (Although his head that night may actually be as big as the tv screen's diagonal dimensions. Haha!)

Yours truly, Eddie Lin, will be there also, to help Bill celebrate his Bizarre Foods debut by eating lots of chapulines (Oaxacan grasshoppers) and shooting back some scorpion mezcal.

There will be a special Bizarre Foods menu with bizarre & not so bizarre eats as well as drinks (each item only 5 bucks!).

If you're in town, come on by. Our Top Chef Masters bash at the Edison was a blast, this party at Guelaguetza promises to be nothing short of Bizarre!
