This gluttonous phở challenge was painful and that's why I'm reposting it. I didn't go through all that gut-busting hurt for one lousy post. So here it is again!

During Super Bowl weekend of 2011, I immersed myself in the spirit of competition by drowning myself in Vietnamese beef noodle soup known as Phở. Eagerly, I took the challenge offered by the newly remodeled Phở Super Bowl in Alhambra: Eat 3 extra large bowls of phở within 1 hour and get your massive meal for free.

The phở gauntlet was thrown down and I stepped up to the face off with 3 humongous bowls of phở piled high with rice noodles, rare beef steak, bean sprouts and brimming with delicious beef broth. I started off with the enthusiasm of a freshly recruited soldier. Then, the vicious battle in my belly began...

That was so funny and timely. I had 5 Vietnamese painters working in my house yesterday and they showed up with a giant kettle of soup just like yours. I swear they ate it as fast as your hi speed video. Kept waiting for you to explode! Hope you were rooting for the Giants.
