Usain Bolt Bites. Eating at World Record & Olympic Champion Usain Bolt's Restaurant - Tracks & Records. Kingston, Jamaica.

On your mark, get set, EAT & DRINK!!!

Usain Bolt, the fastest man on the planet, scorched the track at London's 2012 Olympic Stadium with an Olympic Record of 9.63 seconds in the 100 meter. While Bolt savored another record breaking race, his competitors ate his dust. Although track dust is probably the flavor many of his challengers associate with Usain Bolt as they are trailing behind him, it is less known (outside of Bolt's home country of Jamaica) that he is a restaurateur as well.

Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records is essentially a branded sports bar. As you enter the Olympian's shrine to himself, booze and bar food, his record smashing video footage is played in perpetuity on loop. Other Bolt memorabilia greet you while you wait for a hostess to seat you.

Setting the bar!

Like with any well-funded sports bar in the U.S. or anywhere else, there are flat screen televisions of various sizes hanging in just about every corner, at every height and broadcasting almost every sport. This can make one very thirsty and hungry as if you've just trained for a 100 meter race to go up against Usain Bolt himself (which is, quite frankly, insane, dolt!).

Every celebrity needs a line of condiments.

Paul Newman has his salad dressings. Usain Bolt has Reggae Table Sauce and Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce. These are found at every table. Reggae Table Sauce is a common condiment found in Jamaica and is essentially a ketchup and soy sauce based seasoning used on classic Jamaican food like jerked chicken.

Scotch bonnet is the national heat to eat in Jamaica. It's a powerful piquant pepper with a pleasant sweet accent. It's become my pepper of choice since my trip to Jamaica. Scotch bonnets possess that certain irie-ness, know what I'm sayin'?

Run for the Rum Punch.

If Scotch Bonnets are the national pepper, then rum punch has to be the national cocktail. At Tracks & Records, it's a fun, colorful drink with a generous pour of multiple rums. It's easy to drink. Too easy.

Jerked Chicken Spring Rolls.

When in Jamaica, you eat jerked chicken. It's the real deal and it's absolutely delicious in its unique smokey wood flavor and simple seasonings. At Usain Bolt's joint, the jerked chicken is shredded, rolled up as spring rolls and fried. An abundance of Scotch bonnet heat is used within the spring roll and atop in the form of a spicy aioli.

With items like Country Style Janga Soup, "Swims" and Escoveitch Fish Sandwiches, Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records keeps the food true to its Jamaican roots. But with plates like Wings Galore, Jerked Chicken Quesadilla and Island Nachos, it's still a good ol' sports bar no matter whose name is behind it.

Big congratulations on your GOLD, Mr. Bolt!
